Mead Days
Mead Days is a beloved community celebration held once a year in the town of Mead, Nebraska. Usually taking place around mid–June, Mead Days brings the residents and visitors of Saunders County together for a weekend of fun and festivities. During the celebration you can find games, tournaments, family activities, delicious food from local vendors, live music and a parade full of small–town charm.
Proudly supporting this home–town event, Konecky Tire & Auto serves as a co–sponsor, helping to make Mead Days a possibility and reinforcing our commitment to the Mead and Saunders County community.
Pie Giveaway
As a heartfelt way to say thank you to all of our loyal customers and cherished community members here in Mead, Konecky Tire & Auto hosts a yearly pie giveaway in which regulars and locals can come in and claim a free cherry, apple or pumpkin pie baked by the Village Pie Makers on us. Just this last year we ended up giving away a total of 62 delicious pies!.
Building strong local relationships and giving back to the community is a commitment we try to embody everyday at Konecky oil, and we love seeing the look on our customer’s faces when they come in to get their pies every year.
Christmas Drive
In partnership with Encounter Life Ministries (a local church here in Saunders County), once a year Konecky Auto & Tire sponsors the ‘Christmas Closet’ charity drive. For every service, repair and tire change that takes place in our shop during the months of October and November, a portion of the proceeds goes towards funding a shopping excursion at the Westroads Mall in Omaha. Instead of providing unwanted or poorly fitting clothes, this drive allows the local kids and teens in our community the opportunity to choose clothing they’d like to wear for coming year.
LILY HAVEN is a nonprofit in Nebraska dedicated to offering hope and healing to girls ages 14–18 who have survived human trafficking. Our unique, family-style home provides a safe and supportive space where survivors can heal and grow.
