A Family Legacy Since 1947
Konecky Oil, Auto & Tire is a family-owned and operated business that has proudly served Saunders County, Nebraska since 1947. For more than 75 years, our shop has been built on trust, hard work, and a commitment to doing right by our customers—values that have been passed down through three generations of the Konecky family.
The business was founded by Dale Konecky, who established Konecky Oil as a dependable local service station for the Mead community. His son, Leroy Konecky, continued the tradition, growing the business while maintaining its reputation for honest service and quality workmanship.
The Third Generation
Today, Konecky Oil is owned and operated by Jeff and Laurie Konecky.
Jeff grew up around the family business, learning firsthand what it means to serve customers with integrity and pride. After graduating from Doane University, Jeff began his professional career with Federal Mobile Automotive Parts, gaining valuable industry experience. He eventually returned home to carry on the family legacy, bringing with him a deep understanding of both the business and the community it serves.
Laurie Konecky grew up in Lexington, Nebraska, and also earned her degree from Doane University. Her early career was spent in higher education, working in student activities and residence life at colleges across the country. Laurie’s people-focused background and welcoming approach make her a natural fit in a customer-first, community-driven business.
